New File Types

I don't know if there is a way to associates new files types with Icons/images but when will they have images for docx or xlsx files? or can this be done manually already??

Yes, you can change it by yourself, it is very easy.
First copy two images (docx.gif, docx_b.gif) into the directory "webclient/icons", then modify the script file "webclient/include/common.js" at line 13, add your docx type like others.
