LDAP and Quotas Issue
I mapped an LDAP user to a local user so I can have a download quota enabled, but if I login as the ldap account the user statistics are never updated (ie: last login, downloads, etc...) If I login with the local user though it works. I need this fixed ASAP. Thanks

Re: LDAP and Quotas Issue
Yes, if you map the LDAP user to the local user, some of local user attributes can't be updated.

Re: LDAP and Quotas Issue
Hello,
We are just on the evaluation of Wing FTP as an alternative of our current FTP solution.
We have configured LDAP authentication and it's working fine so far, although the quotas aren't working.
So I found this post, are there plans to implement this feature also for LDAP users or mapped users?
Are the any plans, that you can map also LDAP groups to local groups?
Regards,
Martin

Re: LDAP and Quotas Issue
LDAP is just mapping, so the mapping user can't change attributes, ie: last login, quota, password...
And we will add a feature "Mapping LDAP group to local user" in the next version.

Thanks for your quick reply.LDAP is just mapping, so the mapping user can't change attributes, ie: last login, quota, password...
What does this mean, the mapping user can't change attributes?
Isn't this a setting and not a attribute?
f.e. I can configure virtual directories for mapped users
Do you may have a timeline for this? And we will add a feature "Mapping LDAP group to local user" in the next version
Thanks

Re: LDAP and Quotas Issue
Thanks for the new feature for mapping LDAP groups.
Do you have more details, how this should work?
Should the User filter for %s also get the LDAP group names?
In our case this isn't working.
We would need a 2nd LDAP filter for groups.
The groups doesn't have the attribute uid.
Thanks in advance

Re: LDAP and Quotas Issue
You must have the attribute "memberOf", I think Windows AD will have this attribute by default.

We use OpenLDAP.You must have the attribute "memberOf", I think Windows AD will have this attribute by default.
Can you use users and groups at the same time?
How should the query looks like?
