Upgraded to Wing FTP 3.8.8.8, Lost LDAP

Just updated to WingFTP 3.8.8 (from 3.7.2) and it appears we have lost LDAP. Here is what we have so far, mind you this worked perfectly in 3.7.2:

Host: XXXX.local
Port: 389
Base DN: dc=XXXX,dc=local
User Filter: (&(objectClass=user)(sAMAccountName=%s))
LDAP Version: 3

The logs are littered with:
"[14] Mon, 18 Jul 2011 07:29:01 An error occurs when doing LDAP::ldap_search_s. Error code=-7"
and
"[14] Mon, 18 Jul 2011 07:09:15 An error occurs when doing LDAP::ldap_search_s. Error code=1"

Anyone got any ideas?? As I said it WAS working in 3.7.2, in 3.8.8 not so well.....
