Hi,
I have been asked to create a SFTP server by my employee for an external company to upload files. I have configured Wing and able to access SFTP on port 22, but when using FileZilla to connect I'am prompted by the following dialog box..
Title: Unknown host key
The server's host key is unknown. You have no guarantee that the server is the computer you think it is.
Details
Host: ***.***.***.***:22
Fingerprint: ssh-ras 1024 *********************************************************************
Trust this host and carry on connecting?
Always trust this host, add this key to the cache
[OK] [Cancel]
I'm unfamiliar with SFTP configuration and want to avoid any question from the external company regarding the set up. Is there any way to issue a host key that is a known host key? Can I use a 256bit SSH host key?
Jason

Re: SSH unknown host key
You just need to press the button "OK", and you can create another SSH key at "Server > Settings > SSH Key Manager".

So is this response, unknown host key, to be expected on first connect?

Re: SSH unknown host key
Yes, correct. Filezilla will popup a message "The server's host key is unknown" for the first SFTP connection.pepsupport wrote: ↑Thu Jul 13, 2023 2:50 pm So is this response, unknown host key, to be expected on first connect?
