SSH2 keys with Wing FTP - Invalid SSH Key File

We currently have the 30 day trial of Wing FTP server installed.
We need the "secure" FTP (using ssh2) functionality, as we are going to be doing some financial data transfers.
Whilst it is currently installed, i'm having issues with importing SSH2 keys.
As a background, the 3rd party will be sending data to us, and has asked for our public SSH2 key and username/password for FTP transactions.
I've created a key-pair in PuttyGen, but when i attempt to import the private key in the "SSH Key Manager" tool, i keep getting an error "Invalid SSH Key File!"
I've tried a few times, and created a couple of test key pairs in puttygen all of which generate the same error.
So i can only assume i'm doing something wrong.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks
