web browser -> login failed: protocol denied

Hello,

I just upgraded to the Secure version of the FTP server, configured an SSL certificate and enabled the HTTP>HTTPS redirect. Previously web browser logins with http worked, now trying to log in with https page gives "login failed: protocol denied" errors. I can't figure out what setting is causing this or what needs to be done to fix it. FTP client login still works but it's using insecure for the time being because enabling SFTP generates the same error, but in the FTP client. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Just to update, if I check "enable FTP command 'AUTH TLS/SSL' in Domain settings, no FTP client connections will work, regardless of how they're configured (optional FTP with explicit TLS, FTP with explicit TLS, FTP with implicit TLS). All give "protocol denied by server" error. I use FileZilla for testing and that's the client I recommend to people to use when connecting to our FTP server.

Right now I have to allow non-secure connections on both web and FTP protocols because secure connections keep giving the protocol denied error.

Are you using a Free edition or Standard edition license? Free/Standard edition doesn't support FTPS or FTPES.

Secure edition. I just bought a license for it yesterday. I've been using Standard for several years but need to change to secure protocols.

Fixed. I forgot I had disabled secure protocols on some of the user accounts, specifically. Enabling those made everything work correctly.
