I am looking for a way to create short URLs for http downloadlinks. Can anybody help me with this?

Currently you can't create short URL for the weblink, but we will consider to make a web client plugin for it.

OK, a new web client plugin "Bitly" was released, it can be used to make short URL of the weblink.
